The Poachers Arms is situated in the beautiful rolling hills of the Peak District within the quaint village of Hope. Less than a mile from the honey pot village of Castleton with its Norman castle “Peveril Castle,” we're a stones throw away from some of the most stunning countryside England has to offer.
Hope
Hope boasts a number of village pubs, a butchers, green grocers, village shop, delicatessen and take away. You'll also find a number of quirky shops and galleries and a small railway station - all within a short walk from The Poachers Arms.
Castleton
A short walk into the village of Castleton will bring you a selection of pubs, restaurants, gift shops and cafes. Castleton is perfectly situated for exploring the world famous Blue John Caverns. The Winnats Pass will also give you spectacular scenery on your way up to Mamtor, the shivering mountain. If you love walking, caving and climbing then this is the perfect place for you.

Hope is ideally situated for a short drive to the beautiful stately home, Chatsworth House.
Why not visit the pretty village of Edale with Jacobs Ladder taking you up to the start of The Pennine Way.
The market town of Bakewell is home to the famous Bakewell Tart (treat yourself.)
Visit Haddon Hall, Crich Tramway Museum, or Gulliver’s Kingdom at Matlock Bath.
For another exciting day out why not visit Alton Towers, Carsington Reservoir or take a quick trip to the famous spa town of Buxton.
